Botswana Netball Association ( BONA) to host 2019 AGM.
The Botswana Netball Association and its affiliates are pleased to announce that, the 2019 BONA AGM will be held on the 6th of April 2019, in Gaborone at the BNSC Warm-up Area, at 08h30. This will also be an elective day for the three Executive members positions that is, the Secretary General, the VP-Technical and the Treasurer.
On the 6th of April 2013 the UN General Assembly declared the day to be the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) – a decision that represented a historic step in recognizing the transformative power of sport and its great potential in advancing positive social change. This day is commemorated globally each year by international, regional, national sport and development organizations to honour the role that sport plays in society, whether by encouraging healthier lifestyles, making sport more w idely accessible or using it as a vehicle for development in areas made vulnerable by conflict, poverty and inequality.
Hence the Theme for the day will be “SPORT FOR DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE”
