BONA Response to COVID-19, WITH IWG GLOBAL “CALL TO ACTION”

Dear members of BONA community. It is with great pleasure that we are now towards the end of our first lock-down that we started on the 2nd April 2020, which is coming to an end nextweek on the 30th April 2020.

We commend you for ensuring that you are safe in this difficult time. Thank u for keeping safe thus far.

Our gratitude goes to teams who have been keeping their athletes active, even if they have not shared their video activities with us, but we believe all national athletes and other members of their teams are doing something to keep healthy and fit.

Team Jwaneng – a job well done to your athletes commitment. The Southern Zone Umpires Coordinator, beautiful message of encouragement to all umpires to stay safe under the #TogetherWeCanDefeatCovid-19 and to any other member who sent messages of encouragement, individual comments, our stakeholders, supporters and well wishers to motivate and encourage the BONA community, keep going to encourage others.

We still want to urge you all to please follow all precautions given and wait to hear the Government updates nextweek. In the meantime keep extreme social distancing, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and STAY HOME!

We are also sharing the IWG Global “CALL TO ACTION” that is encouraging all signatories to lead by example as they recover and build.

We would like you to go through the “Call for Action” on https://iwgwomeandsport.org/iwg-responds-to-covid-19-pandemic-with-global-call-to-action/ and we plan together to ensure that we support the Declarations made on all potential areas of concern for women and girls due to COVID-19 and opportunities for signatories to drive positive change in the future.

We are looking forward to hearing from you on the above request. Your suggestions will be very important to our way forward beyond the COVID-19.

We can only win COVID-19 if we abide by the rules and regulations, Staying Home is key, until we are adviced otherwise.
